The medieval market

The medieval market (in Germany you say medieval market) is a market which starts in spring and takes two days. The entry is free. It´s very interesting for little kids, but even older kids and adults like this festival. Everything is medieval.

In the medieval market are very interesting things like a 170-years-old stagecoach or a forge which you can make horse shoes with. Also there are travelling entertainers with funny tricks and knights with their horses. You can buy medieval things like weapons (crossbow and wooden swords), clothes (knight`s amour, garments or coat of mail). Besides there is medieval food which smells great and there´s a medieval music band.

There are lots of actors. They are disguised as traveling entertainers, knights in knight´s armour and blacksmiths. They do cool things. For example a traveling entertainer juggles with 5 burning torches and white balls and he makes tricks with a ribbon. The knights battle and that was very well practiced. At the end the kids can “fight” too. And the blacksmith shows you, how to forge a horseshoe. There is also a storyteller, who tells medieval fairy tales.

So you can have a lot of fun there!
